U.E.G Freighter part 1

Posted in U.E.G with tags , , , , on November 29, 2009 by xfozzboute

Here is an old ship that I haven’t worked on for about a year. I can’t believe it’s been that long. It’s a freighter that belongs to my own Universe called U.E.G or United Earth Government. These two pics are old but I’ve recently started to work on the ship again.

This is some of the work I started to on the inside. Mainly it’s lighting and thinking about a few extra containers of crap in the catwalk. I also added an indicater to sho that the door had a good seal or not. Sadly the work shown in these two picture got lost when my last saved file got corrupted. :(

Lucky for me I was able to go back to another saved file. I didn’t loose much but it was still a pain in the ass. I worked more on the lighting and changed the color of it. I also thought that I might add a first aid kit and fire extingisher at each door. Just in case.

The Cotton Candy Nebula

My first picture of the U.S.S. Kelvin. The background was mostly done with Apophysis and a little playing around in photoshop. I thought it kind of reminded me of cotton candy so there ya go. The Cotton Candy Nebula.

Star Trek Enterprise Era Ship part 5

Posted in Star Trek Enterprise, star trek with tags , , , , , on November 13, 2009 by xfozzboute

While watching the movie Glory I decided I wanted to name a few ships after Civil War battles. So I thought “hey I’ve got a ship that might work.” I had stopped working on it because the secondary hull had me stumped. And all of a sudden I had it, I knew what I wanted to do. The Nav deflector is only a temp to get an idea for size and placement. I’m still not sure if I’ll even put one on the ship. After all the Reliant got away with it. :D

Halloween Pumpkins

Posted in Uncategorized on November 1, 2009 by xfozzboute

Well it’s the day after Halloween and a few days ago I posted my ideas for the pumpkins I wanted to carve. Well here they are.

PA130031

These are the instraments of my pumpkins demise. A scooper to get all the nasty bits out. A saw to do all the cutting with. Latex gloves to keep my lady like hands clean. And a plastic bag to cover the table and keep it clean.

PA130032

I've cut the top off and got the first batch of seeds that I plan to cook.

PA130033

Carving is all done on this one.

PA130034

Well the strobe light I planned on putting inside the pumpkin just wasn't strong enough so I decided to add some tin foil and that appears to have helped.

PA130035

Here is the second pumpkin with the top off. As you can see this one has much thicker walls. I had to cut a notch in the back so I could actually pry the top of.

PA130036

Here the seeds and muck have been cleared out.

PA130037

Pumpkin #2 is finished.

PA130038

More tin foil and strobe lights.

PA160039

Nothing better than freshly cooked pumpkin seeds or at least what's left of them after I've eaten a good amount. :)

PA160046

Here's pumpkin #2 at night with the strobe light on.

PA160047

Another shot of #2.

PA160048

Pumpkin #1 at night with the strobe lights on.

PA160049

Another shot of #1.

And finally how they looked outside on my front porch.

For those interested in how I cooked my seeds.
Spread the seeds out on an oiled cookie sheet or two if you have alot of seeds. Mix the seeds around a little bit to coat them in oil, this will help the salt to stick.
Salt to taste of course. I sometimes will split the batch up and use cinnamon as well.
Bake seeds at 325 degrees for about 25 minutes. stir the seeds about half way through and check on them until browned.
Remove from oven.

Alt-TOS 19: More Kelvin

Posted in Alt-Tos Star Trek, star trek with tags , , , , , on October 31, 2009 by xfozzboute

Well I figured this thing was so damn close to being finished I might as well push it over that edge. I textured the neck that connects to the secondary hull. And I addded windows and textures to the secondary hull. Since the navigation deflector has been moved I added a texture to the lower sensor dome under the saucer. Now all I really need to do is change some of the names and this one is finished. So it can blast the shit out of some Klingons. :D

Alt-TOS 18: A Little Ptolemy, A Little Kelvin And A Little Something Else

Posted in Alt-Tos Star Trek, star trek with tags , , , , , on October 22, 2009 by xfozzboute

Bit of a pot luck today. I’ve got more textures for the Ptolemy’s cargo modules. You can see them as they would look while in the cargo pod and as they could look when spread out at a colony. I have also finished the windows on the neck of the Kelvin. Since I was working on the light tug/transport Ptolemy and thought I needed a heavy tug/transport as well and came up with an as yet unnamed class of ship.
