I made some cutouts on the outer rim of the ship. They'll probably house sensors or some shit like that.

I decided to rework the secondary hull. I'm much happier with this less bulky version.

I’ve neglected my Civil War ships for too long so I thought I’d get some work done on this one. Most of what I’ve done is flesh out the impulse area. I’ve also decided on a final class name. This is a Smith class ship named after the master make up artist Dick Smith. Other ships in the class will be the Baker, Savini, Drexler and Winston.
Well I’ve restarted a project that I’ve been working on for almost as long as I’ve been doing CGI. I’ve started to replicate my house again. This is the start of the basement and the staircase leading upstairs. I’m useing Mental Ray on this project instead of the default scanline renderer that comes with 3D Studio Max. This will be a long ongoing job. But I hope I can atleast get some of it done this time. Most of the textures are temp.
This game is still in I guess it could be called beta testing since I’ve only watched one of the three seasons of the show.

Added windows to the tulip bulb part under the upperdeck.
I added more textures and made adjustments to the ones already done.
I decided on where to place the aft disrupters. I also started to detail shuttle bay area.

I redid the textures for the upper deck. I changed it from green to a light brown.
The warp engine is nearly done.
Even though the mesh isn’t complete I had an urge to do an image with it. This was mostly done inside Max with very little photoshop work. I’m rather happy with it and it’s the first image of the new year. Although not perfect.

It’s just the Benny this time.
Fixed the scortch marks on the warp engines.
Added scortch marks to the lower saucer. I need to fix the textureson the warp pylons. A few more small things to do and I should be finished with this ship.
I added windows and tested a possible texture. Kind of looks like grass. Maybe the Klingons are getting into golf.
More details on the neck and a few windows.
I'm thinking about placing some disrupters under the hull.
